Perne Avenue in Cambridge is a fantastic HMO property that we were overjoyed to have the opportunity to get involved with. It had previously been let out as student accommodation, but the Letting Agents were struggling to fill the rooms leaving the Landlord with void periods of less profit. In discussion with the Letting Agents, we agreed to take over the property management and they agreed to organize all the necessary work needed to update it.
Cambridge is a fantastic location not only attracting a high volume of students but also many working professionals both nationally and internationally. Its vibrant city centre, awe-inspiring sights and beautiful waterways make it an extremely popular place to live.
After a complete re-decoration and new carpets throughout we were finally handed the keys. This spacious HMO consists of 6 large double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a utility, downstairs toilet, kitchen, lounge, large rear garden and parking to the front.
All the bedrooms come furnished with double beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table, desk and chair along with all bed linen and orthopedic mattresses. Each room is dressed to our high standard to give them a more homely feel.
There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility area and the kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, 2 fridges, 2 microwaves, toaster, kettle, and all necessary cooking utensils.
The large lounge area is furnished with 2 comfy sofas and an internet ready TV making it the perfect place for our tenants to spend time together. Fast broadband WiFi is provided for both entertainment and work purposes.
As previously mentioned, this property was handed over to us in an immaculate condition. Our role in this project was to take over management and tenant finding to relieve some of the workload of the Letting Agent. From the moment we stepped through the door it only took us 24hours to dress, view and fully tenant this property due to the high demand of the area and the size and luxury standards of the rooms we had to offer.
